Solo project by Tom Croce (n. 1991 - Piacenza, Italy).
The driving force behind Jangwa (Swahili for 'Desert') is a skilled multi-instrumentalist. He's a proponent of the DIY approach, producing his music from a cozy home studio and readily sharing it online, all the while endorsing the use of Creative Commons licenses.
Until 2022 the project was named Dilating Times.

Why did I choose the Free Music Archive (FMA) as the platform to share my music? Here are a few reasons.
Creative Commons licenses: One of the main reasons I chose FMA is the ability to share my music under Creative Commons licenses. This means I can determine precisely how my work can be used by others, promoting sharing, reuse, and remixing of tracks without the traditional copyright restrictions. It's a wonderful feeling to know that my music is available to anyone worldwide without legal constraints.
Access to a broad audience: FMA is visited by video producers and music enthusiasts from around the world seeking new sounds and discoveries. This provides me with the opportunity to showcase my music to a diverse and extensive audience that might not have been reached otherwise. The platform's visibility is a significant advantage for emerging producers and composers.
Ease of use: Publishing my music on FMA has been incredibly straightforward. I can upload my tracks, add information about them, and select the desired Creative Commons license in just a few steps. The platform also offers tools to organize my music into albums, making it easy to present my work to listeners.
Support for open-source culture: FMA was created almost 20 years ago by the people behind WFMU, a world-famous New Jersey-based radio station that supports open-source culture and free access to music and other forms of knowledge. This aligns with my personal values, and it's great to be part of a community that promotes sharing and freedom in music.
Today, the website has been renewed and is maintained by Tribe of Noise. A "donation jar" function has been integrated, providing the opportunity to receive a small reward for our work.
The Free Music Archive has become my main place for sharing my music with the world. It's a special place that celebrates musical diversity and creative sharing.
