A U.S. News analysis of COVID-19 data from USAFacts alongside voting results from the 2020 presidential race shows that counties where Trump won have a 52% higher death rate over the course of the pandemic than counties where President Biden won.
Trump's COVID response was evil. According to John Nichols, Trump's approach to the pandemic was a "deliberate dereliction of duty" that was severely misguided and driven by "lies" that "cost not a few lives, but hundreds and hundreds of thousands of lives that did not need to be lost."
Trump downplayed the pandemic's severity and prioritized his own political and financial gains over public health. Once again, with trump, it's always about HIM. And people giving him money, power, attention, and, sadly, life itself.
