Elgon Ngoma Troup Album

The Elgon Troup was a group of Professional musicians and dancers based near Mbale, Uganda who I managed to talk into making the trip up the Arlington Academy of Hope to play for the Kids. Payment helped, of course. Their repetoire came from all over the country and the music was more typical of professional ensembles found in a number of different parts of Uganda. The kids loved them, and you can hear, by the end of the 4th track, just how excited they were. These folks turned the school grounds into a huge party, and I was glad to be able to give something to a community that had given me so much.
