Meet Echo Chamber Rope Trick

Echo Chamber Rope Trick is Seamo, Andy, and Simon from the southwest of England.

An experimental psychedelic trio.

With a combined love of 60's US garage rock, German Kosmische Musik and psychedelic folk, their lo-fi recordings reflect these influences, mashing them together in songs about DIY and starlings.

Anyone familiar with the Brighton music scene might know Seamo as the ecstatic frontman from 90's space rock group Starblazer and cornerstone of Krautrock improv drone cult, Black Sufi's. Seamo and Simon have previously recorded together as Thermochemistry.

For this project, Echo Chamber Rope Trick augmented the basic band set up with xylophone, Casio keyboard, mandolin, oscillator and effects units.

Although some of the trio's songs are prepared in advance, most are improvised, with each band member playing any of the available instruments or even swapping mid-song, with Seamo providing most of the vocals.

However, don't try looking for verses and choruses, most of these songs are simply jamming on one riff, with improvised lyrics. - Echo Chamber Rope Trick
