Meet Uncan

Ocean Hotel - Released 2018

This track was composed before the Uncan project was even a part of Free Music Archive. It was early 2017 and I was staying at a family home on the Jersey Shore with some friends from college. At the time I had just started using the VST Serum and was making a lot of instrumental house music. For this particular track, I decided to take inspiration from the environment and sample the ocean waves for some ambiance. My hope was to capture the chill feeling of being seaside. - Uncan


Lost - Released 2018

One of the things I like most about Free Music Archive is getting to see where my music ends up. As a video game composer, I get excited when my music is picked up by a game! This track was featured in the title screen for Roblox: HEISTS. I remember composing this track shortly after finishing college. I felt lost after graduating, unsure of how to proceed in life after years in a structured environment. Back then I was known as “Uncanny,” but I chopped two letters off to become “Uncan.” - Uncan

Effemeah Weeps - Released 2019

This track was originally a school project for a music production course. My goal for “Showsnow,” as it was originally known, was to compose an electronic track with major orchestral elements. The track is a blend of serene strings and accented electronic arpeggios.
