New Horizons - Released 2018
In 2018, I was coming off the release of what I consider my 1st real album; The Gxod Poet & I wanted to keep up my musical momentum; So I decided to drop a single every month on FMA & I was on a FIRE 7-month run until FMA tragically shut down. Out of the 7 tracks, 1, in particular, goes a little harder than the rest and landed me my biggest placement to date: New Horizons
That year, my studio was in the living room of my apartment and I had 3 roommates. I had a habit of waking up at like 3/4 in the morning to work on things without any distractions. That night was no exception. I planned on working on something that was going to outshine my release from the previous month. Thus, New Horizons was created and uploaded to FMA.
Fast forward like a month & I received an email from a multimedia company saying that they wanted to use New Horizons for a production they were working on for Microsoft! I was blown away! This was only my 2nd release in the series & I'm already getting CRAZY placements! It motivated me to keep going strong and really drove home the fact that your setup doesn't matter. All that matters is the music.
