Description

Anton Rothschild returns to Vulpiano Records with Netlabel Day special single “It’s Not Vegas” with b-side “Teacups”. Rothschild was one of the initial artists to release on Vulpiano back in 2010 with The Year of the Kitten, returned as part of Fire Island Pines in 2011, and now has graced us with his presence again on this lovely single as a master of alt-pop craft informed by past and present. Cover art by Marilyn Roxie. A limited edition cassette single is available on Bandcamp along with digital release of 12 bonus tracks:antonrothschild.bandcamp.com/album/its-not-vegas-teacups More from Anton...: It's 10 years since the creation of Anton Rothschild and his restless, turbid and insular world. A world of confessions mumbled in to the mic at 3am and alienated yelps hollered on rainy afternoons. A world of diverse and ambitious stylistic leaps bound by amateurish trial-and-error production techniques. "It's Not Vegas / Teacups" are two newly unearthed and unreleased tracks recorded in 2011. The tracks are being released by Vulpiano for Netlabel day on 14th July 2017. The release will coincide with a very limited edition cassette version sold directly by the artist on bandcamp with a bonus CDr of 12 newly remastered tracks self-selected from his various online releases spanning 2007-2010. All 14 tracks will be available to purchase as a download also. Anton, now just plain Andy, eventually merged interests with the band Fire Island Pines, who he fronted from 2010 until their dissolution at the Indietracks Festival in 2015 after an album and 3 singles. Their debut EP was also released by Vulpaino. Rumours persist of a possible reunion before the decade is out.
