Traditional Musicians from Southern Uganda's Rwenzori Mountains Album

This group of musicians were gathered from various places in the Rwenzori Mountains up from Kalembe, Uganda near the Congo border. We took Bodas way up into the hills where communties live and were treated to solo performaces, explantions about them, and an ensemble as well. My guide is hoping to start including musicians such as these as part of a tourist trip where people hike and then sleep in shelters near where the players had gathered. I suppose this would be good for these players, but it was interesting for me to catch them just prior to tourism playing a prominent role in their music. However, I was told they hadn't played much as not that many people are interested in this stuff, so whatever it takes to get them playing again might be a good thing.
